Hello Everyone
As a health and wellness
professional, we need to have to have developed psychologically, spiritually,
and physically. We can’t teach someone how to reach this, without have reached
it yourself. If we can’t reach it our self’s, how can we teach others. I am
still working on all three. I have a lot of work to do, but I am determined to
get it done.
I
score myself very low. I need to start working out, I have a workout plan in
place, I just need to get up and do it. For the psychologically and
spiritually, I have no clue to where to even start. I have a lot of work to do,
but I am starting to make a plan in place. I want to reach a level of complete
health and wellness.
For
the physical part of this, I want to start work out 5 days a week, I would like
to do insanity. At least for one month, then do other workouts. I feel like if
I start the insanity then I can jump start working out. I did it before, it’s a
fun workout, but hard. For the psychological part, I want to find a relaxation
tape that works on relaxing my body, and start doing that 3 days a week, to try
to relieve my stress level. I have a lot of personal stuff going on, that I
need to control and stop letting them control me. For the spiritual part, to be
honest I have no idea what to do. I don’t know where to even start.
The
only way to be able to reach this is to just do it. I have a problem with
psyching myself out. I can do it later, oh I don’t feel good, and I am too
tired. I can come up with a thousand reasons, but then I remember how good I
feel when I am working out. I feel like I am on top of the world, like no
matter what comes at me I can take on the world.
I
am going to take pictures of myself, every other week. I am also going to start
a journal that way I can track my progress. I feel like this is very important
to make sure you track yourself. When you write things out, you can see what
your progress is, and even where you are lacking at. Knowing what I want to
reach is the only way I know to do it.
Wow, congratulations on doing Insanity before. I too have done this workout routine and it is a beast! I even got the shirt! haha I definitely think that it may be a hinderance to some people because it is so intense, especially if they are currently inactive because it can discourage them due to the inability to finish it. I have confidence that you can do it because you have done it in the past! Just remember, "DIG DEEPER"! Good luck in the future and it has been a pleasure reading your blogs throughout this course. Only one week to go!
ReplyDeleteSally, I am really happy that you have decided to dedicate yourself to improving your physical health. It sounds like you have a pretty good plan on improving your health, but also sounds like you have some body composition goals, as you say plan to take pictures for progress. I would advise that you specify those goals, do you plan to build new muscle tissue, or perhaps lose some body fat. That way you can build your diet and workout plans specifically to that goal. I wish you the best of luck.
ReplyDeleteI am with you 100%, Sally! I'm great at psyching myself out but I think you have some excellent ideas for how to make yourself accountable moving forward. The best thing you can do is focus on a specific area and not overwhelm yourself with trying to do everything at once. We learned that this is a journey and that the journey continues throughout our life. Take your time, stick with it, and enjoy the journey!
